REAL OUTCOMES
Men who optimized what mattered
Illustrative outcomes based on representative program data. Individual results vary.

Vikram, 36
in 3 weeks*
“I was crashing at 3 PM every day even after 8 hours of sleep. Labs showed my cortisol pattern was inverted and my Vitamin D was low. New protocol with magnesium glycinate, theanine, and revised macros — three weeks in I felt human again. The data made it concrete.”

Karan, 41
in 8 weeks*
“Years of pre-workout caffeine and zero recovery work caught up with me. MensMD pulled my training back, layered in recovery compounds, and we tracked HRV weekly. My recovery scores doubled in 8 weeks. Training output is actually higher now with less work.”

Aditya, 33
in 6 months*
“Tested low normal on testosterone but I wasn't in TRT territory. Instead of pushing meds, the team pushed sleep optimization, micronutrient correction, and resistance training adjustments. Six months — my T went from 380 to 620 ng/dL. No prescriptions needed.”

SAFETY & CLINICAL OVERSIGHT
Sports nutrition deserves the same rigor as medicine.
Supplements aren't risk-free. Even legal performance-enhancing compounds have real effects. We screen, monitor, and disclose — the way responsible medicine should.
Performance & supplement disclaimer
Sports nutrition supplements are not regulated like pharmaceutical medications. Even legal supplements can have side effects, drug interactions, and individual variation in response. High-protein intake may affect kidney function in some individuals. Caffeine and stimulant compounds can affect cardiovascular health, sleep, and anxiety. Performance compounds (creatine, beta-alanine) have strong evidence but may cause minor side effects (cramping, paresthesia). Recovery compounds (ashwagandha, magnesium) interact with certain medications. We screen for contraindications, monitor biomarkers, and adjust protocols based on individual response — but results vary, and supplementation is not a substitute for sound training, nutrition, sleep, and medical care. Speak with a licensed physician before beginning any sports nutrition program, especially if you have existing medical conditions or take medications.
FREQUENTLY ASKED
Questions men ask before optimizing
Straight answers on supplements, biomarkers, costs, and what to actually expect.
MensMD Sports Nutrition is for adult men who train regularly (recreational athletes, strength training, endurance athletes, weekend warriors) and want a data-driven approach to optimization. Best suited for men who: are tired of generic supplement stacks; care about long-term health markers, not just performance; want to understand why their body responds the way it does. Not suitable for: men with serious medical conditions requiring specialist supervision, anyone under 18, or those expecting magic-pill results without consistent training and recovery work.
Buying supplements off a shelf is guessing at what your body needs. Our approach: comprehensive biomarker testing → physician interprets your results → supplement stack matched to your specific deficiencies and goals. We test before recommending. We monitor while you're on the protocol. We adjust as your data evolves. Most supplements people take are unnecessary, sub-optimally dosed, or actually counterproductive to their goals. We fix that.
Standard comprehensive panel: hormone profile (testosterone, free testosterone, estradiol, SHBG, DHEA, cortisol, thyroid), metabolic markers (HbA1c, fasting glucose, lipid panel), inflammation (hsCRP, ferritin, homocysteine), micronutrients (Vitamin D, B12, magnesium, iron studies), liver and kidney function. Optional add-ons: DNA analysis for genetic factors affecting recovery, caffeine metabolism, and supplement response. Quarterly re-testing tracks how your protocol is working.
Generally no — sports nutrition focuses on optimization through nutrition, supplements, and lifestyle. If your biomarkers reveal an underlying condition that needs medication (e.g., genuinely low testosterone requiring TRT, thyroid dysfunction, severe deficiencies), your physician will discuss it openly. We're not in the business of pushing prescriptions. We're in the business of helping you optimize naturally first, and only escalating to medical interventions when warranted.
Depends entirely on your biomarkers and goals. Typical recommendations include some combination of: creatine monohydrate (for strength/muscle), whey protein (for protein gap-filling), magnesium glycinate (for sleep/recovery), Vitamin D3 (for the 80%+ men who are deficient), Omega-3 (for inflammation), and goal-specific additions like beta-alanine, theanine, or ashwagandha. Most men take 3-5 evidence-based supplements, not 12 marketing-driven ones.
Energy and sleep improvements often within 2-3 weeks. Strength and recovery improvements within 4-8 weeks. Biomarker changes are typically visible by your first quarterly re-test (week 12-13). Body composition changes follow training consistency and nutrition adherence — typically 8-16 weeks for noticeable changes. Your physician adjusts dosing and protocol based on how you respond, so the timeline is individualized.
Properly-dosed evidence-based supplements are generally safe for healthy adults. We only recommend supplements that are third-party tested for purity and potency. We screen for drug interactions, existing medical conditions, and allergies before any protocol. However, no supplement is risk-free — some can stress kidneys/liver at high doses, some interact with medications, and some can cause minor side effects (cramping with creatine, paresthesia with beta-alanine). We monitor biomarkers to catch issues before they become problems.
Absolutely not. Supplements and biomarker optimization are the 5-10% that compounds your training and nutrition habits — but they cannot substitute for them. You cannot supplement your way out of bad sleep, poor diet, inconsistent training, or chronic stress. We work with men who already train and eat reasonably well; we help them dial it in further with data.
Currently MensMD Sports Nutrition is a direct-to-consumer program not billed through insurance. This is intentional — sports nutrition optimization is rarely covered by health insurance anyway, and direct-pay keeps us focused on you rather than insurance compliance. Some lab work may be partially reimbursable. We provide receipts and lab details you can submit on your own.
Yes. No long-term contracts. You can cancel any month. Your supplements ship monthly so cancellation stops the next shipment. We don't lock anyone in — if the program isn't delivering value, the right decision is to stop. Many men stay on long-term because the biomarker tracking continues to provide value even after their initial optimization phase.
